What is Callisto?

Callisto is a confidential resource aimed to empower survivors of sexual violence on college campuses. Callisto offers an encrypted platform, Callisto Vault, that enables campus survivors to safely document an assault and/or match with others harmed by the same perpetrator. Survivors can use the platform regardless of who the offender is, when and where the assault took place, and whether or not they choose to report. Callisto’s cutting-edge technology protects and empowers survivors, while increasing the likelihood that repeat perpetrators will be detected and held accountable.

The Callisto Vault:

  • Is a third-party tool that does not report to Title IX, University Police, or Morgantown Police
  • Can detect serial perpetrators across campuses, including those not affiliated with the WVU campus
  • Helps survivors feel less alone and regain a sense of control, promoting empowerment and healing
