File a Complaint or Report AbuseThe U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) enforces, among other statutes, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. Title IX protects people from discrimination based on sex in education programs or activities that receive Federal financial assistance. How does this apply to you?
Under the ADA/Rehabilitation Act, WVU has a responsibility to ensure program accessibility for all WVU campus community and program members and participants. This section includes guidelines, resources and other forms that members of the university community may find helpful.
WVU is committed to protecting children on the University's premises or involved in University Sponsored Programs at all geographic locations. We've established guidelines and expectations for program and event administrators to ensure a positive environment is created which promotes health, wellness, safety and security.
The Civil Rights Act of 1964 and its amendments are responsible for preventing discrimination in federally assisted programs, such as higher education, and employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex or national origin.
Your obligations to report prohibited conduct may vary depending on the circumstances and your role within the University, but you have options on what steps to take if you decide to file a report.
