
Shelby McCloskey
Shelby McCloskey serves as a Prevention Specialist for the Division of Campus Engagement and Compliance, responsible for facilitating prevention education related to Title IX, healthy relationships, sexual misconduct, consent, and bystander intervention at the campus and community level. Shelby oversees the WVU Peer Advocate program which helps empower students to prevent sexual violence on campus and seek resources when necessary.
Shelby is a proud WVU alumni, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health in 2022. Prior to being a Prevention Specialist, she was a Medical Advocate at a domestic violence shelter where she assisted medical professionals in becoming more trauma-informed and survivor centered in their practice while connecting survivors with necessary healthcare.
Shelby serves as an Anonymous Employee to faculty, staff, and students who have been involved in Title IX related issues who want to further discuss options for reporting and/or gathering resources.
